How the workload estimate works
Your first-pass estimate covers 55% of the plan. The calculator reserves 30% for retrieval and application, plus 15% for realistic written, oral or problem-based attempts. Available time is based on the study days and minutes you can actually protect before the exam.
Use the result as a decision, not a promise
If the workload is overloaded, do not compress every task equally. Prioritise syllabus topics, reduce passive note production and keep source checking, retrieval and exam-format practice. Recalculate whenever the scope or availability changes.
Common questions
How precise should the topic estimate be?
Count syllabus units that need a separate learning outcome. Do not use individual pages as topics.
Why reserve time for active recall?
Finishing a first pass is not the same as being able to retrieve or apply the material under exam conditions.
Are the inputs stored?
No. The calculation and copied plan stay in your browser.
